Greetings, Erthians! We are thrilled to announce that our most anticipated and significant update, Ertha Beta v0.6, launches on June 22nd!
As we transition from Ertha Beta v0.5, we can’t stress enough how game-changing this update is going to be. The Ertha team has been working tirelessly to ensure that you, our beloved community, will have a fresh & immersive gaming experience.
Land Terraforming & Property Building: A Whole New Level
Remember the first iteration of land terraforming & property building introduced in Ertha Beta v0.5? Well, prepare for a leap forward! With Ertha Beta v0.6, the first landowners will finally have access to see and shape their own land.
The process of accessing land will be separated into rounds. The first round will grant landowners the power to edit their Water HEXs. This will be a “playground” type test, mostly to make sure the functionality of connecting HEXs to the game works as it should, and to have a “blank-slate” to test terraforming & property building improvements.
The second round will introduce access to the first countries. The specific countries will be based on community activity and the amount of landowners in these countries. Land HEXs will first be generated by the game using topographical and height maps to make them look as close to the real world as possible, and then they’ll be modifiable by their respective landowners.
Further periodical rounds will add more and more countries for landowners to access and modify their land until the whole globe is open.
Get ready to visit fellow players’ HEXs and see their incredible creations! And who knows — we might even launch a community competition for the coolest HEX!
Important note to keep in mind — terraforming & building will currently remain free and test-only, and bugs may still be encountered. But there will be a way to save the terraforming changes made by spending Ertha Tokens later on!
Character Creation: Unleash Your Uniqueness
For v0.6, we’ve invested hundreds of hours to improve the character creation process. With custom clothing carefully crafted by our designers, hairstyles shaped to fit all situations, and other exciting customization features, your character will be as unique as you are.
Items of the first Erthian HEXBOX collection have also been completed by our artists, and players can expect to open their HEXBOXs and equip items in-game not long after v0.6.
Building Assets, UI, and Animations: Quality & Immersion Upgrades
Over 100 custom building assets have been designed for you to explore and utilize in Ertha v1.0. You’ll see a part of them in the updated demo HEX that we’re also expanding in size (about 9x)! Not only that, you’ll be able to play around with these assets on your own land HEX.
We’ve also given the UI some love with the introduction of new menus, loading screens, and an overall more polished appearance.
You’ll also notice a significant improvement in character animations, making your in-game actions smoother than ever.
New Music, Edition One Vehicles
We’re adding new tunes in v0.6! We’re hoping an originally composed soundtrack will add some much loved immersion and comfort into the game.
Also, get ready to hit the road with the Paragon X750 and Aeon S20 Edition One vehicles! These models will now be seen cruising around the demo city.
Bug Fixes and Community Support
As always, together with the new update, we’re squashing bugs from previous updates and addressing new ones. Your feedback is invaluable, so we encourage you to report any issues you encounter — together, we’ll make Ertha better than ever!
