With ERTHA there is no beauty, no magic, no fairytale stories. ERTHA is brutal imagery of the future that we are not too late to change yet. Utopian devastation of Earth could become a reality or stay as a cautionary tale — the choice is ours.
But even the biggest optimists, the most truthful believers, cannot deny a certain allure in the chaos and destruction. With ERTHA, not only horrors define the future. It’s unique freedom brought by possible death that is just waiting around the corner. The disbalance between a desire to live and always present death brings the most extraordinary experience, but the path to such creation wasn’t easy.
As always, great ideas start with an active and creative mind. Here, Linas Kiguolis could take all the credits. The ambitious vision of a utopian future became more and more real until finally, the shooting day was here.
Here, at the make-up studio, talented Karolina brings out the visuals. The journey begins with Silvija from “Supermodels.” From a regular modern girl, she becomes the face of the last few surviving humans. Deadly eyes, pale skin, blood, and gore — this is a look of our future.
What’s a transformation if nobody captures it, you may ask? Each stroke of the brush, each drop of blood. All is documented by real camera genius Erikas Matijosius who closely follows every step of progress with camera-ready alertness, providing sneak peeks from history in the making project.
As the camera captures one last shot, all behind the scene work seems to reach its final stage. ERTHA is almost here, and so are the horrors of the future.
